It's so hard to psychoanalyze someone without feelings when you actually... have feelings. I mean, if Sam's soul was in hell and felt all that pain, but then his body minus his soul was taken out, and he could remember the torture... would he remember the pain as something horrible? Or simply as an event. Was Sam's logic, it's not hurting me so it couldn't have been bad, or did it really not hurt him? I DON'T KNOW.
