I like your Sam logic. There's that element of fucked up, kind of naive approval seeking in there. On the one hand, he's all about ends justifying means and getting the job done, but somewhere under there there's the need to know what he's supposed to do and do it, and the way he continually gets it wrong and can't understand why it isn't coming out right is so simultaneously creepy and lovable. Have I mentioned that JP is really, really impressing me these days? His flat!Sam has all these incredibly compressed layers.
