OH MY GOD. I wish I had the words to adequately express how amazing this is, and how the whole thing -- the concept, the execution (those memories!), the writing -- filled my soul up with glee. Alas, all my ~feelings have rendered me pretty useless. But dude, this is wonderful, and one of the best things about it is that it makes so much SENSE. I'm sure the show would never utilize that soul-bond thing they already established, but it's a perfect solution. I can't even deal. You are awesome, and I will cling to this story when canon inevitably gets even darker.
