Holy crap, this is so amazing. It's one of those pieces of writing that makes me so grateful for fanfiction. The imagry is astounding and never in the way and evocative and oh, man, there's no way Sam's not gonna scratch at that wall. Every word of this is necessary, there are none that aren't needed. I am in awe.
