Fic: Like Luggage of Some Departed Traveller; Master Post
Title: Like Luggage of Some Departed Traveller
Author:
britomart_is
Artist:
marciaelena
Pairings: Sam/Dean, Sam/Jess, Dean/Jess, Sam/Dean/Jess
Rating: NC-17
Words: 54,000
Warnings: horror themes and imagery, diseases and disasters, mild gore, angst.
Summary: AU from Season One.
Rogue wildlife attacks? Check. Virulent, incurable pandemic? Double check. Relentless string of natural disasters? Check, check, check. Dean's got it hard enough dealing with the collapse of modern society, so imagine his dismay when he goes to Stanford Law to fetch the brother he's been painfully in love with for most of his life and finds that brother happily married. When Sam, Dean, and Jess set off across the country to find their dad, it's all they can do just to stay alive, much less stay true to each other.

Don't know if you're particularly schooled in the art of PDFing fic - sounds like maybe? - but if there's some particular etiquette of where people upload them (i.e., sites accessible in all countries), I have no idea what it is!

Thank you for writing and sharing this.
Ps. Sex scenes ruined my panties. I would like to be compensated for that. They were nice panties.

Thanks for reading. ;)

Jesus on a biscuit.
And also I will be contacting Show about replacing my panties. I'm sure they get calls like that all the time, what with Sammy ruining panties all across the globe.

I loved the way you portrayed each character, their dilemmas and their relationships. I loved the way you wove the different pieces of canon together. I loved Jess's Oregon Trail reference!
What an amazing read! Well done!

Also the first "multiple POV" kinda fic I've read in a while that didn't throw me out of the story. So, well done for that :)

I really loved it, but mostly the way that Dean and Jess's mutual grief went. I loved how Dean didn't have long strings of words sharing his feelings, but she knew anyway. And I started crying around the, 'I thought we'd be together forever' part.
I also enjoyed the placement of us finally finding out how Sam left right at the end of the story. How Dean just kept trying to make him stay and all the desperate pleas that didn't work.
<3 Thanks so much for writing and sharing.
