The whole ring thing with War was kind of a copout, now wasn't it?

Oh, JO. HIIIIIIII. You are enjoyable and I suspect people will like you a lot more now that your character is allowed to be more than "convenient place for Dean to put his penis". I hope you are recurring.

Did Samantha Ferris have some work done? Around the eyes?

Enjoyed the War allegory, heavy-handed though it may have been.

I want to give Sam a gold star and a blue ribbon (not even a PARTICIPATION RIBBON, a REAL blue ribbon) for standing there surrounded by demon blood and not being on his knees licking it off the floor. Instead of guuuuuiiiiltshaaaaaame can we give him some kudos for that?

Sam was ridiculously beautiful.

They fucking waterboarded Sam. Ha.

If they're gonna go the whole Revelation route, I demand that the dragon be included. People always forget about the dragon.

I enjoyed the boys walking down the street with guns being HOT. And together.

I enjoyed Sam and Dean's altercation outside the room o' survivors in the church.

I enjoyed seeing Sam and Dean sitting at a roadside picnic table, and imagine them sitting there with a variety of healthful snacks, and possibly moist towelettes.

I did NOT enjoy the actual conversation at said picnic table. Well, I did. But I didn't. But I did. But I really, really didn't. *cries and cries FOREVER*

I think last week was the break-up episode. This was the "Can we still be friends?" episode, and the answer was a pretty emphatic "No." Of course it's temporary, of course neither of them can last long without the other, of course they love each other as much as they ever did, but that didn't make it hurt any less to watch, holy god. My poor boys.

I loved how Dean took Castiel asking to borrow his amulet roughly the way a man would if someone not his spouse asked to borrow his wedding ring. <3

The break up, it cannot last for long. Isn't that the basic premise of SPN -- Sam and Dean cannot do the whole separate thing for more than a few hours, and very bad things happen when they try/are forced to.

I'm much more excited about the series than I was last week. The "Is Sam evil?" thing has kind of been a cocktease for two seasons so it's really nice to see actual repercussions!

This was my reaction, totally. I loved that they stopped hiding and started speaking honestly, I loved that Dean still said he was too worried about him to concentrate and I loved that he called him Sammy. I hated that Sam actually left and Dean let him go, but think it was really, really needed and I believe this is the first step to the boys bein ok again. Didnt stop it from being super ouchy mind

OH GOD. Okay, first of all, I love how completely fucking badass Castiel is this season. I went from completely not trusting him at all the first time we saw him to thinking he was a creeper (which, come on, he kinda was, not understanding human concepts of privacy and personal space and whatnot XD) to loving him more and more with each consecutive episode he was in. He's not kicked!puppy Cas anymore; he's take-charge, "BITCH WE GONNA GET SOME FUCKIN' SHIT DONE AND FIND GOD AND STOP LUCIFER AND GET EVERYBODY LAID SHIT YEAH" man-with-a-plan Cas and I LOVE IT.

(Also I just got this hilarious mental image of him just popping up while Dean's in the shower one day and scaring the crap out of him, LOL. And Dean would be all, "Dude! Inappropriate!" and Cas would just be like, "Dean, this is an urgent matter. I have very important news." in his completely deadpan angelic way. XD)

I was sooooooooooooooo excited to see Ellen and Jo again. Kinda struck me as odd that she had to hear about Dean being alive from Rufus and that Bobby hadn't told her after, like, a whole year of him being back. I wish we'd gotten to see more of Jo than we did too.

And as far as the epically sad breakup of infinite heartache, aki_san and I finally hashed the whole sordid situation out about an hour and a half and several tissues later with a little help from Freud and Lacan, and now I don't feel so bad about it because I'm confident that things will finally get some resolution and they can start over on equal footing. I was also pretty comforted by the fact that Dean had such a hard time letting the amulet go and that he freakin' OFFERED SAM THE IMPALA which is the only stable, permanent, safe thing he's ever had in his whole life, ever. He wouldn't have done that if he didn't still love him. ♥
