Supernatural, Episode 5x09

britomart_isI'm going to entirely ignore the parts I didn't like. Because I feel like it.
Thoughts, in brief (let me explain--no, there is too much--let me sum up):
Chuck's crush on Becky had me dissolving in giggles. Loved that every time she fangirled Sam there was an awkward pan over to Chuck standing next to her.
Sam is pretty. And I prefer that he not be scalped, kplzthx. I realize that Dean was also almost scalped, but Jared Padalecki's fivehead and pretty hair are national treasures. Think of the children.
Barnes/Demian - oh sweet jesus the SPN writers' room is now slashing fans. O_o
Fans who are capable of bravery and heroism. "Because. That's what Sam and Dean would do."
"What is wrong with you? Why the hell would you choose to be these guys? [...] In fact, I think that the Dean and Sam story sucks. It is not fun, it's not entertaining, it is a river of crap that would send most people howling to the nuthouse. So you listen to me - their pain is not for your amusement [...] Oh, they care. Believe me. They care a lot."
"He, uh. He takes the story really seriously."
"If you really want to publish more books, I guess that's okay with us."
"Wow, really?"
"No, not really. We have guns and we'll find you." ♥♥♥
"You're wrong, you know."
"Sorry?"
"About Supernatural. No offense, but I'm not sure you get what the story's about."
"Is that so?"
"All right, look: in real life he sells stereo equipment. I fix copiers. Our lives suck. But to be Sam and Dean - to wake up every morning and save the world. To have a brother who would die for you. Well, who wouldn't want that?"
I'm just gonna say that again, for the folks sitting in the back of the auditorium:
DEAN LEANING ON THE CAR WITH A LITTLE SMILE.
*hearts-in-eyes*

Every way that SPN has ever pissed me off (including in this episode) is worth it for Dean smiling right there.

The last two episodes made my family complain - I've laughed so loud they couldn't hear the tv in the other room.

Eehehehehe. I'm loving Chuck/Becky (and I loved her "breaking up" with Sam and how he responded to it... "I guess I'll just have to find some way to go on living." XD) I don't think Chuck quite knows what he's getting into though. She's been reading/writing all this dirty fic and he's a pretty timid guy; Becky might be too much woman for him to handle. XD
It was kinda heartwarming that the fans got to save the day. I mean, how adorable were Barnes and Demian? "I think I'm going to throw up." "No, you're not." Aww. ♥ And their Batman voices were cracking me up. "DAD SAID I MAY HAVE TO KILL YOU." "KILL ME? WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?" "I DON'T KNOW." Also cracking me up: Hookman Fritz. And Becky telling him to STFU when he kept complaining. XD
One thing I don't understand, though: why did Bela not tell Dean what she'd actually done with the Colt in that last phone call if, presumably, she did want them to kill Lilith? *confused*
But eeeeeeeeeeeeeee Boys. Dean's got his Sammy back so everything's okay. ♥ ♥ ♥
